Kingston, Ontario 2019, June 21st-24th

Join Ultimate Scuba Adventures as we return to Kingston, Ontario for a long weekend of historic wreck diving and merrymaking! The beautiful city of Kingston is just a short 6 hour drive from Philadelphia.

We will be staying at the Waterfront Holiday Inn which is situated on the shores of scenic Lake Ontario and is centrally located (within easy walking distance) to shopping and world class fine dining!

Dive into history as we explore 4 of Lake Ontario’s signature wrecks, including The Comet, a spectacular paddle wheelers that sank in 1861, and The City of Sheboygan, a massive three-masted schooner that sank in 1915 and sits in 100’ of fresh water! Preserved in cold water and still very much intact, the wrecks of Lake Ontario offer thrilling dives for both new and more experienced divers. Photographers, bring your cameras! This is a terrific opportunity to build your portfolios!

We will be diving Saturday and Sunday morning with the professionals at Kingston Dive Charters (www.kingstondivecharters.com  -- check out their wreck page for descriptions and photos). By diving in the morning we will have afternoons and evenings open to enjoy all the history and charm this cosmopolitan city has to offer!

Organized group activities may include wineries, a dinner cruise through the magical Thousand Islands aboard the glass enclosed Island Star for an evening of music and historical commentary. Somewhat less organized activities will of course be a pub crawl (or sprint) to some of Kingston’s most famous (and fabulous) restaurants and pubs! The combination of great wreck diving, Kingston culture, waterfront activities, and world class dining make this mid-summer trip to our Northern neighbors enjoyable to both divers and non-divers alike!
